    What is your book about?
I review 25 common business mistakes made by business owners, entrepreneurs, sales professionals and even team leaders or managers. I provide practical strategies on how to avoid the mistakes as well as arming my readers with solutions for fixing those that may already exist within their business.

What inspired you to write your book?
I am a business coach and serial entrepreneur. The book was inspired by my own personal experience and my experience with coaching clients. I was seeing a lot of common themes.

How did you come to do what you’re doing today?
After a 14 year career in Corporate America, I saw the 2009 round of layoffs as an opportunity to actually go out on my own full-time. With a lot of encouragement from my wife and kids, I pulled the trigger and here I am a year and a half later.

Can you describe a typical day in your life?
    Marketing, networking and coaching.

What do you most enjoy about what you do?
Helping my clients achieve some level of clarity and establish some structure in their business and seeing how that translates into a more productive and, often, more relaxed and confident client.

Are there any people and/or books that have inspired you along your journey?
Definitely! In the book I offer recommended readings in virtually every chapter. See http://thetermiteeffect.com/books.html where I list all of the books that I recommend in The Termite Effect.

Can you share some business tips for our readers?
Spend time planning – “failing to plan is planning to fail”, John Wooden. I have many, many more but that is the one that comes to mind when I am asked for a quick response.

Can you share something that people might be surprised to learn about you?
Actually, I am pretty boring personally. Never parachuted, bungee jumped, served in the military, traveled to any extravagant places but I love my family and I love what I do for a living.
