    What is your book about?
It is a guide for modern job seekers backed up by my 9 years of experience interviewing applicants for clients.  It contains tips on interviewing, resumes, networking and how to approach an interview from coming to the office all with way through the thank-you note process.

What inspired you to write your book?
Over the years, I am approached by everyone that needs a job.  Since I document all my tips on social media, many folks suggested that I write them all down in one place to help others.  It also allows me to suggest the book to jobless people so they can read everything in one place, instead of me taking time to give the same speech over and over.

How did you come to do what you’re doing today?
I was in the financial services industry for 14 year and I wanted to buy my own business.  I found a small staffing company that I thought would make a great career change in 2003.

Can you describe a typical day in your life?
Review and interview over 30-40 people/week.  Prescreen resumes, participate in media interviews and a lot of client interaction on candidates and managing our temps.

What do you most enjoy about what you do?
I like being able to help the bottom line of a business by hiring the right people to make managements job easier.

Are there any people and/or books that have inspired you along your journey?
I got a real ‘kick in the pants’ by reading the 4-hour Workweek by Tim Ferris.  It made me really examine how we we were doing business.

Can you share some business tips for our readers?
Know your niche and stay in it.  Moving to areas that you don’t know enough about can damage your core business.  Take time to think things through.

Can you share something that people might be surprised to learn about you?
I am terrified of public speaking.  I do it all the time and people are shocked to learn that it scares me.
