    What is your book about?
The book covers 4 aspects of working from home:
    1) How to avoid scams by learning the tricks of marketers (tracing emails and tracking IP addresses, etc)
    2) Legitimate ways of making extra income
    3) Legitimate companies that hire at-home workers or offer flexible hours
    4) Getting into the entrepreneurial mindset

What inspired you to write your book?
Through my website, (www.QueenoftheRandomJob.com) I receive a ton of emails asking, “Is this a real job or a scam?” Most individuals don’t know the ins and outs of Internet Marketing, and how scammers can post ads or create websites that look real, although they’re not. So I took it upon myself to educate them.  I’m a big advocate of entrepreneurship, and firmly believe that people should have more than one source of income.  Because of this, I teach people (through my books, presentations and classes) how to get into the entrepreneurial mindset and other ways of earning income.

How did you come to do what you’re doing today?
I’ve never had a traditional job longer than 9 months…I’m just not a corporate-type.  Because of this, I’ve had to find ways to make ends meet.  I’ve been scammed more than I care to admit, but have finally gotten to the place where I know the kind of work that is out there.  I have a teacher’s heart, so I needed to put everything that I learned into a format so that others could benefit from my experience.

Can you describe a typical day in your life?
There is no such thing as a ‘typical’ day!  I think that’s what I like about what I do. Some days I spend just answering emails, other days I’m teaching, other days I’m working with small business owners to help them streamline their operations.  Sometimes I spend the day hula-hooping just because!

What do you most enjoy about what you do?
Helping people learn how to avoid getting scammed.  Not just in the job market, but also teaching them how to trace emails and track IP addresses so they’ll know where an email is really coming from.

Are there any people and/or books that have inspired you along your journey?
Rich Dad/Poor Dad; Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway are the two main ones that have helped me get into an entrepreneurial mindset. I’ve read hundreds of others, of course, but these two I re-read every year.

Can you share some business tips for our readers?
Do what you love…there are a ton of ways to make income from any one idea.  Find something that you enjoy doing and build on that.  Don’t just start (or buy into) a business because you think there will be financial rewards.  Make sure it’s something you can see yourself doing for the next 5-10 years.

Can you share something that people might be surprised to learn about you?
I have a BA in puppetry and can count being Ronald McDonald’s bodyguard as well as Bill Gate’s housekeeper among some of my more unique random jobs.

Is there anything else you would like to add?
    Thanks for the opportunity!
