Wonderfully useful and practical idea. The issue of course is that for many writing a book can seem intimidating even overwhelming. As a writer myself I suggest that non writers should consider working with a ghost writer, even if they aren’t professional. Even books which aren’t spectacular can be edited and polished if the core ideas are solid. For the DIY writer I strongly recommend that it is best to begin by writing articles on the subject on which they are experienced. Some books can in fact be something like a series of longer articles. Taking baby steps towards getting a book completed is likely the best idea instead of trying to tackle the whole thing from beginning to end.
