• 10 Ways to Use Slideshare to Promote Your Presentations

    Slideshare is a fantastic free service that allows you to upload PowerPoint how to use slideshare for presentations/businesspresentations and related documents and share them publicly. The site is searchable so that users can find presentations based on titles and keyword tags, but there are many other ways to take advantage of this service. Here’s how:

    1. Share on Facebook. When you do, the presentation will be embedded so that your Facebook followers can view slides directly on your Facebook page.

    2. Share on Twitter. Send out a link to announce new presentations that are ready for viewing.

    3. Share on LinkedIn. There is a Slideshare app that you can add to your LinkedIn profile to import presentations directly to your profile. How cool is that?!

    4. Promote to Your Audience. Event attendees often want a copy of the slides following a presentation. Let them know they can find yours on Slideshare, or email a link to view your slides.

    5. Embed into Your Web Pages. Slideshare will provide you with html code so that you can easily embed your presentation into a page like this:

    6. Promote Handouts. Import handouts directly into your Slideshare profile and follow the previous steps listed here to promote them.

    7. Import Your Speaker Sheet. If you’re a professional speaker with a speaker one-sheet, be sure to import that into your Slideshare account too.

    8. Provide a Link to Prospects. If you’re being considered as a speaker for an upcoming event, let the booking manager preview your slides.

    9. Monitor Interest. Slideshare allows visitors to comment and download your presentations. If you’re getting a lot of action, it’s a good sign that your presentation is a hit. If not, well, perhaps it’s time to refresh your slides.

    10. Maximize SEO Value. Be sure to incorporate relevant key words and phrases into your presentation title, description and tags so that not only can your presentation get discovered by SlideShare users, it can also get found by Google!
