• 10 Creative Ways to Promote Your Business with PowerPoint and Slideshare

While PowerPoint slides are typically projected onto a screen while delivering a presentation, you can also feature them 10 Creative Ways to Promote Your Business with PowerPoint and Slideshareon your website pages using Slideshare, a free social sharing service for presentations. When you upload a presentation to Slideshare, you can then grab some HTML code and embed the presentation in a slide viewer on your website or a social media site, such as your Facebook business page, allowing visitors to view your slides on their own.

Following are some ways you can use slides, along with the handy Slideshare widget, to dazzle website visitors and social media fans.

Presentations – If you already deliver presentations, you can feature your slides on a “Speaker” page on your website.

Capabilities – If you ever need to showcase the capabilities your company offers to potential clients or referral partners, then a presentation on your site could dazzle a prospective client connection. These types of presentations are commonly delivered to marketing and PR firms by vendors who want to generate referrals.

Storytelling – Creative entrepreneurs can have some fun by creating a slide deck that tells a story. Whether it’s about the company, client stories, or something funny, this can be a unique way to engage your audience.

Client Testimonials – Ask clients to submit testimonials or photos that you can compile into brief presentations that are featured on your site.

Product Demonstration – Slides can be used to showcase products, or provide before and after photos. For example, a professional organizer could feature a messy office, and then share photos that demonstrate the process of getting it organized.

Something Unexpected – Think outside the box and create something that generates buzz from people who tell their friends, “You’ve got to see this!”

Bio or Company History – Instead of a boring web page with a written company history, illustrate your story with photos and text.

How-To – Quick, instructional slide shows can become client tutorials.

Sales Presentation – Create a slide deck that sells your products and services for you and feature it on a prominent page on your website.

Client Success Stories – You can have some fun with these. For example, a real estate agent could feature a slide show with happy families in front of their new homes. An image consultant could feature clients post-makeover.

Note that with PowerPoint, you can also embed video and make your presentations more dynamic. For more ideas, search through some of the many wonderful presentations on Slideshare. And by the way, you can build a following of fans on Slideshare and use the service to build an even bigger audience.

Sales presentations are a good way to promote the business. Well, they should not be boring because it can take off the viewer’s interest from the powerpoint presentation rather than getting impressed by it. A sales presentation presented in a humorous and witty way can do wonders for the business.
